Now equipment is leased The model is popular, so the threshold for the SMT industry is getting lower and lower, and the market is more subdivided and more active. Taking the Shenzhen area where we are located as an example, it is really a mass entrepreneurship, and there are many small and medium-sized enterprises in SMT manufacturing.
Q3: SMT technology is composed of SMT components, SMT equipment, SMT process, SMT accessories, SMT testing and many other links and factors. Which part do you think people in the industry pay more attention to? What are the technical bottlenecks currently encountered by the SMT industry?
A3: What is more concerned about is the high speed, stability and flexibility of the equipment, because the current life cycle of electronic products is significantly shorter than before, so there is no so-called long order and large order before, more small batches with multiple varieties, or occasional One of the most popular products needs to be imported immediately, such as last year’s ETC and this year’s forehead thermometer. The equipment you buy must be able to quickly adapt to this transformation. The transformation of product orders is too fast, so that the equipment purchased before evaluation may not be suitable for existing products. , which also gave birth to the current boom in the equipment rental market. And SMT equipment manufacturers have to launch matching equipment to adapt to the market. Now SMT equipment manufacturers are gradually concentrating, and some brands have withdrawn from the existing market. At present, I personally feel that the SMT industry is not a technical bottleneck, and it is facing innovations in improving efficiency, reducing costs, non-standard automation and process.

With the development of 5G, investment in advanced packaging in downstream equipment will be stimulated, and the demand for SMT equipment for new base stations and mobile phone products will also be accelerated. What is your opinion on the current process of localization of SMT equipment?
A6: The localization of SMT equipment is now mainly about the placement machine. Through my visits to customers and some SMT factories for reference, at present, most of SMT printing machines, AOI, ICT, reflow soldering and wave front soldering are basically domestically produced. The localization of the most important part of the SMT production line is still very low. At present, the domestic production is mainly customized for some products, such as the domestic production of LED light panels. The placement machine has the advantages of high production capacity and low price, and the disadvantage is that it cannot adapt to the production of different products and has large limitations.
