Why choose this product?
XD‑S Series Offline Selective Wave Soldering System is a high-performance offline selective wave soldering system. Choosing the XD-S Standalone Selective Wave Soldering System enables targeted THT soldering on PCBA and precisely avoids SMD components to prevent circuit board damage caused by high temperature. The XD-S Standalone Selective Wave Soldering System supports standalone offline operation without connecting to a complete DIP production line for flexible layout. Its targeted soldering mode greatly saves solder and flux consumption. Featuring fast program switching, it fits multi-variety R&D sampling and small-batch DIP production. With compact structure and easy parameter tuning, the XD-S Standalone Selective Wave Soldering System is the preferred equipment for flexible selective soldering.
How It Works
- XD-S Batch Selective Wave Soldering loads PCBs to be soldered. The system imports the soldering program and presets parameters including soldering coordinates, temperature and dwell time.
- Servo drive mechanism accurately moves PCB or solder pot module to position target solder joints.
- Special micro nozzle generates controllable micro solder wave, applying solder locally only on designated joints.
- Nitrogen protection covers the soldering zone continuously to minimize solder oxidation and improve joint quality and reliability.
- Closed-loop temperature control stabilizes solder pot temperature to prevent thermal damage to surrounding precision components.
- After single-point soldering, the system automatically switches to the next joint and completes all selective soldering sequentially.

Application Process
- Manually place and fix PCBs on tooling fixtures.
- Import soldering files and set process parameters: coordinates, temperature, dwell time, etc.
- Start XD-S Batch Selective Wave Soldering System. The solder pot heats up to the set temperature and completes constant-temperature preheating.
- Servo module drives workpiece to accurately move to the first soldering position.
- Micro nozzle rises to generate micro solder wave under nitrogen protection for point soldering.
- Upon completion of single-point soldering, nozzle retracts, and the system automatically moves to the next joint.
- Once all joints are processed, the workpiece returns to loading/unloading station.
- Operator unloads finished PCBs, inspects solder joints and replaces new workpieces.
Requirements
- Power supply: Stable three-phase AC power supply, voltage fluctuation kept within allowable range.
- Air source: Connect dry and clean compressed air to meet the pressure and flow requirements of XD-S THT selective wave soldering system.
- Nitrogen: If nitrogen process is required, supply industrial nitrogen with qualified purity and stable pressure.
- Environment: Well-ventilated workshop equipped with fume treatment device, away from dust and corrosive gas.
- Site requirement: The XD-S THT Selective Wave Soldering System shall be placed on flat and solid floor, with safe space reserved for operation and maintenance.
- Workpiece: PCBs and components can withstand selective soldering temperature; flux pretreatment in advance.
- Operator: Operators shall receive training on the XD-S THT Selective Wave Soldering System and be familiar with process parameter configuration and safety operation procedures.

What It Is Used For

Conclusion
XD-S Lead-Free Offline Selective Wave Soldering System is an offline selective wave soldering system, which realizes partial soldering of THT through-hole components at designated positions on PCBA. The machine can avoid surrounding SMD components and prevent circuit boards from high-temperature damage. As an offline selective wave soldering equipment, XD-S Lead-Free Offline Selective Wave Soldering System can run independently without connecting to production lines, support fast program switching and save solder and flux consumption. It is ideal for multi-variety R&D sampling, process debugging and small-batch DIP production.
- Single-wave is recommended for simple single-layer PCBs with sparse components to lower investment. Dual-wave is preferred for boards with high-density through-hole parts, abundant connectors and mixed assembly, which reduces the rate of missing solder and bridging defects.
